Yes, you can. Combine Yahoo, Google, Live, Ask, Dogpile, AltaVista and AOL to get the best result for your search (web, images, videos, news, shopping, directory, answers and blogs). Honestly, I'm not promoting this new website but it seems weird and I like to share this with all of my readers. Can you imagine two search engines in one website? Is it better or worst? 15. How to Cope the Problem with Page Elements in Blogger

Huh, I’m having a headache right now. How I’m gonna update my post if I cannot scroll down to view my page elements (for Blogger user only). Have this kind of problem ever occur to you?

Hm..after searching for the solution for a short while (using Yahoo, Google and MSN), it ends up at the Google’s Help section. I decided to ask the problem directly to the Google’s help section. This is the conversation that I just made via e-mail with their staff.

"Why I can't see my complete Page Elements? How to solve this problem?"

"Can I assume you have a great number of widgets and so cannot see down to the footer? If so, try hitting CTRL-End to move the window down."

"Yes, I have a great number of widget. Thank you for you answer, I will try hitting the CTRL-End. But, one more thing the page said that error on page. Please help me, I'm very confused right now.."

"Vin has posted an answer to the question "Why I can't see my complete Page Elements? How to solve this problem? Iskandar, try clearing the cache. See: http://betabloggerfordummies.blogspot.com/2006/10/how-to-refresh-your-blog-page-in.html"

After that, I try clearing the cache and the problem is solved. Thanks to the staff for the solution. If you have the same problem (Internet Explorer users only), try to clear the cache and here are the methods step by step.

1. Open the Internet Explorer browser. Click Tools at the bottom of the browser.
2. Click Internet Options.
3. In the General Tab, you can see the Temporary Internet Files section.
4. Click Delete Files (don’t worry, this files are the temporary files only).
5. After that, click Ok and Ok. Then, you’re done. You have successfully clearing the cache and the problem is solved. Try to check back your Page Elements section in Blogger. Good luck!

9. Improvement # 2: FeedBurner

I just added the FeedBurner widget in the right hand side of my blog. So, what is FeedBurner? Hm, I will try to share with you a little bit about FeedBurner using my own experience and by searching in the net but if my post states the wrong information; you can correct me at anytime by leaving comment below this post.

From the net, I find out that FeedBurner is a web feed management provider which launched in 2004. FeedBurner provide media distribution and audience engagement services for blogs, website and RSS Feeds.

For your information, RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication if I’m not mistaken which is one types of web feed file format used to publish frequently updated posts. Normally, posts here mean new blog entries, new audio, new files and also news headlines.

Sincerely, I think by using FeedBurner, it will benefit the publishers and also the readers. Web Feeds benefit publishers by letting them organize their content automatically and for the readers, when they subscribes using FeedBurner, they will be able to receive the new updates of their favorite blogs or websites.

7. The Reason to Blog

What is blog? What is the different between blog and website? The words blog is a short term of weblog. According to Wikipedia, blog is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order.


Actually, blog is one of the website types but it has a different characteristic and a different approach according to the writer of the blog or known as a blogger. Blog has a different type and categorizes under popular terms such as personal blog, photo blog, tech blog, fashion blog, gadget blog and many more. A blog could be a diary, a description, a review and maybe a set of instruction to do something.

So, why blog are important to you? Blog offer various facilities in blogosphere such as simple business advertising, file storage, digital album, product promotion and recent news. Therefore, you will be a little bit behind from others if you don’t have your own blog. To share with all of you, I’ve state five reasons why you should create your own blog.

1. Knowledge
This is the main reason why you should have your own blog. Knowledge can be obtained from books, experiences, experiments, impressions and brainstorming. Other than that, you can read blog to gain more knowledge about almost everything. For an example, each one of us has a different interest, if we write about it in our own blog others will get information from the post that we create in the blog. In the meantime, we will gain more knowledge by reading other people’s blog too.

2. Interest or Enthusiasm
Enthusiasm and talent can be spread out in blog. If you have a natural talent in singing, drawing or writing, write a blog about that and keep update from time to time. Share your blog with relatives, family and friends from all around the world. Don’t let your talent is waste just like that, blog is a space to spread out your words and your talent.

3. Communication
You can upgrade your communication skill when you write your own opinion in the blog. Did you believe that blog can optimize your communication skills and confident level? Some of the bloggers will write using their own opinion either with research or without them. Normally, there must be readers who will leave a comment if they don’t agree with the post. By answering the comments, bloggers can boost up their communication skills and confident level. In addition, this will sharpened their writing skills.

4. Emotional
Blog also can be a platform to release your pressure and stress. As an example, you can write about your daily life and share your problem with others. Maybe the readers have the best solution regarding to your problem.

5. Economy
Nowadays, you can make money via blogging. But, it’s not as simple as ABC to generate money from the blog. You must have knowledge and preparation before you can make money through blogging. Maybe you can join advertising and affiliates program when you have a large amount of unique visitor everyday. Other than that, you can sell your own product in your blog to gain extra money.

5. MyBlogLog Community

Have you ever heard about MyBlogLog? Most of us especially for the bloggers must have an account with this site, am I right? For whom who had never heard about this site, MyBlogLog is actually a great site with a large amount of bloggers worldwide hanging out over there. The bloggers submit blogs and create their own community to promote their blogs on this site. Furthermore, you can check your blog statistics whenever you want to.


Mybloglog have a simple design and I think it is the most suitable place to make new friends in blogosphere. You can add contact and join blog communities at the same time. The best thing in MyBlogLog is you will get a widget ‘Recent Readers’ which tell you the person who has visited your blog in a period of time. I’ve just got my ‘Recent Readers’ widget in the right hand side of my blog. I think, I’ll working on something to appreciate all my visitors although at this time I don’t have any readers or visitors yet.

3. Improvement # 1: JS-Kit Comments

First of all, this is not a review or a submission for ‘pay per post’ program. From now on, I decide to update the improvements that I do for my blog, Iskandarisme. For your info, in my last project, I’m using haloscan (you can check out my post about haloscan here) for my comments widget. So, I think the first improvement is to add my comments widget in Iskandarisme.

But, when I’m log in to my haloscan account, I find out that they are switching to something new namely JS-Kit Comments. Actually, there are more widget in JS-Kit dot com but let’s just focused one in a time.

JS-Kit claimed that they are providing fast, powerful and incredibly simple tools to enable web publishers to become part of the distributed social web. From their site, I know that there are about 630,000 publisher large and small trusts JS-Kit to enrich their sites. And it’s good that JS-Kit tools are highly customizable to ensure a seamless fit within my blog.

2. Why Iskandarisme?

Actually, I’m start blogging since 2007 but I stop for a while because the first project was unsuccessful. This is my first blog ever. But, I end up to starting up a new life with Iskandarisme. Hopefully, Iskandarisme will provide more information and benefits to all of you out there.

Why Iskandarisme? This is the question I had to answer before I decided to create this blog. It’s all start with Wikipedia and I’m sure you know more than me about this website. When I search for the words ‘Iskandar’ in Wikipedia, there are 797 items which could be found there. According to Wikipedia, Iskandar can be refer to:

• Alexander the Great, by which name he is known in some cultures.


• Iskandar, a Timurid ruler of Persia.


• Iskandar Muda, famous ruler of Aceh Sultanate.


• Iskandar Malaysia, the new main southern development corridor in Johor, Malaysia.


• Sultan Iskandar, names of several Muslim rulers who share the same title and name.

But, actually I’m very interested in this one; Iskandar can refer to Alexander the Great, by which name he is known in some cultures. So, I checked again who is Alexander the Great. There’s no surprise there are a lot of information about him. Therefore, I will state a little bit information that I got from Wikipedia itself.

• Alexander the Great also known as Alexander III of Macedon was an ancient Greek King (basileus) of Macedon (336–323 BC).


• He was one of the most successful military commanders of all time and is presumed undefeated in battle.


• By the time of his death, he had conquered the Achaemenid Persian Empire, adding it to Macedon's European territories; according to some modern writers, this was most of the world as known to the ancient Greeks.

Enough a little bit about him, let’s get back to Iskandarisme. Looking for the picture above, no wonder he became the most successful military commanders in his era. The point here is, I want to take the good side of the Iskandar or also known as Alexander the Great.
